K.K. Verma Evening College is a symbol of the painstaking efforts of Late Fateh Bahadur Singh. The college was born out of the vision of a great social worker dedicated to education. K.K. Verma Evening College represents the continuous efforts of Late Fateh Bahadur Singh since 1979. The college was established at a time when Bhurkunda had already become a hub of coal mining, with a large population of workers, but there was no institution where the children of the society—especially those from deprived backgrounds—could receive higher education.
